Head of Content

Electrical engineering will determine the future of transport, consumer goods, manufacturing and to a great extent, the planet and how we live on it. Opportunity here is to facilitate and inspire and the conversations that matter within the electrical engineering community at a grand scale, with more than 10,000 key innovators and decision makers listening live and many more digitally.

Harnessing energy will be both a topic of conversation and your central aim as you convert knowledge, market research and data into the curation of engaging content that will energise a community, owning full responsibility for content strategy and development.

The environment (3 days a week in London office) is one of collaboration, innovation and space to grow. Beyond needing a genuine subject matter expert - you'll have deep knowledge of electrical engineering, exposure to the automotive industry a big plus due to the rapid growth of e-mobility as a core topic - they're flexible on your background as long as you're adaptable and keen to throw yourself at full speed into the challenge.

You'll be well-connected and eager to grow your network further, engaging key figures in the industry to commit their time and elevate the delivery of keynote speeches, seminars, webinars, discussions and meetings. These will be VPs and CEOs of important players in the field as well as industry associations, government departments, sponsors and those at the cutting edge of electrical engineering.

An outstanding communicator in written and spoken English (international background and European language skills, German in particular, would elevate your application), you'll be a leader able to motivate people during the day to day tasks of building a world class event as well as the big tasks listed above. Getting it done at all levels as you drive your strategy forward.

Managing budgets and the importance of delivering return on investment won't be new to you. While the value of the event content goes beyond the financial, there are profit targets to deliver. The quality of content will be the major contributor to both.

You'll also get to join an amazing team that has delivered again this year with record growth in numbers thanks to a common focus on adding huge value to the global electrical engineering community through embracing fresh ideas and technology.

£60-65k on offer with a bonus that would take you to £75-85k total and a comprehensive package, hybrid working, top class mentor and team, international travel and the knowledge that you're a pivotal part of delivering something that matters.

There is so much more to this story. If you're the subject matter expert needed to curate an event content program that will generate real power, get in touch.

I’ve been at Euro London since:  March 2004

About me: Placed by Euro London as a fresh Law & German graduate in 2001; this took me back to Germany (Düsseldorf) and gave me the skills and knowledge necessary to build a career here when returning to London in 2004. I remain a cricket and beer enthusiast but brewing kit and bat and ball are in storage while the children are small.

Fun fact: I once appeared on prime time Saturday night TV in Lederhosen as part of a German dance troupe
