Euro London Appointments , on behalf of our renowned international Mechanical and Electrical Engineering consultancy client, is currently looking to recruit an experienced , senior-level Mechanical Engineer Engineer to join their team, working on exciting new projects in France , where they are rapidly expanding their operations currently.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with particular expertise in Datacentre projects to join a dynamic, vibrant company, already partnered with 3 of the 5 largest Datacentre providers globally. The position is a CDI role with long-term development prospects.
In collaboration with London based counterparts you would oversee the regulatory compliance and design compliance as our client brings this in-house (currently overseen by subcontractors).
Please see below a list of the key responsibilities of the position. These will evolve over time as the projects evolve and will largely be shaped by the experience and skills of the successful individual.
*Conducting Mechanical design, compliance and regulations review for Datacentre projects across France ( Paris and Bordeaux projects confirmed with construction due to start in 2021)
*Collaborating with the project lead based in the UK (who is Francophone) working alongside our client's in-house architect in France and alongside their French regulations manager (who is also Francophone)
*Travelling between France and the UK as the projects dictate. On-site attendance will be required from 2021 within the Ile de France and Bordeaux regions.
*Translation of project documentation from English into French.
Profile, skills and experience required
*A Masters degree in Mechnical Engineering or a similar discipline with a large Mechanical Engineering component.
*At least one relevant long-term experience in Datacentre regulations and compliance management for Mechanical Engineering projects.
*Strong experience and knowledge of French regulatory frameworks for Mechanical aspects of construction.
*Experience of Design Reconciliation with review of design proposals and their alignment with French law and regulations.
*Fluent French and at least Intermediate English. The position is well-suited for professionals wishing to work in a vibrant, collaborative international consultancy environment that is in its initially development phase in France but highly established in the UK.
*Excellent communications skills and a positive , enthusiastic attitude.

The position can be based in Paris ( ideally as out client is opening their office near the Gare du Nord in the next month) or remotely based with regular travel to Paris, London and on-site from 2021.
