To ensure a high quality of service support for their product range of biochemistry related products and future innovation products our client is looking for a Product Service specialist with a talent for logical problem solving to join their team aimed at providing specific service and support input into product development and R&D. This in turn will then enhance the serviceability and reliability of these products leading to greater retention and renewal rates.


*Providing specialist assistance to both field and helpdesk teams on products focused on Bioengineering.
*Undertaking occasional on-site visits across EMEA (if required) including within the UK. Occasional travel for training engineers outside of Europe.
*Being involved in the initial installation of the product range.
*Acting as a focal point for field service team escalations relating to specialist products.
*Providing specialist customer support and service feedback for R&D team product development and modifications.
*Working with Sales and Support teams to develop service products, service contract content and other service procedures.
*Liaising with relevant third party suppliers and customers.
*Develops and plays a key role in the training programme for the Field Service department.
*Creates and develops training materials for specialist products.
*Documents and disseminates product service materials such as recommended parts, tools, calibration routines and service engineer training workshops.
*Represents customer support at product development and quality meetings.
*Delivers 'hands on' service engineer training.

Skills and experience required

*A Science or Engineering graduate. A Biochemistry type degree is ideal but any degree relating to Science or Engineering can be considered.
*The key to the position is strong logical and problem solving skills combined with strong communications skills for working with several departments cross-functionally.
*Able to instil confidence in listeners and forge trust with clients.
*Practical experience on any kind of laboratory instrumentation or scientific devices is preferred but not essential if you have the right logical skills to learn ( training provided).
*Working knowledge of optics or digital image capture is an advantage.
*Experience writing and producing technical documentation.
*Fluent written and spoken English ideally with a second European language.
*Good listening skills and ability to create confidence with key stakeholders internally and externally.
*Confident PC User on Windows and Office 365.

As part of their ongoing expansion our client is looking for an International In-House and Field Service Engineer to support several ranges of scientific instrumentation that they offer to their clients, based on Mechanical and Electrical technologies, but also software applications. If you're passionate about the latest Mechanical /Electrical/IT devices, are a creative problem solver with strong analytical skills and a confident, approachable communicator, able to adapt to end-users of all levels of scientific expertise , with a globetrotting interest, then this might just be the position for you ! Responsibilities *Installing , repairing and verifying the performance of our client's products and scientific instrumentation. Product lines are assigned by the team manager depending on requirements. *Provision of operational training on product usage to international clients, typically at the point of installation but also at distributor and service engineer training programmes to ensure effective and safe product usage. *Providing immediate feedback on product quality of design issues reported by customers, working closely with R&D. Also works alongside Sales and takes advantage of close collaboration with Sales team members to make them aware of new products and services. *Works in independently or in association with the Helpdesk team to provide accurate diagnosis on technical issues and to deliver outstanding service to clients. *Completes regular training sessions and keeps up to date with new assigned product ranges coming out on the market. *Managing company assets including spare parts stocks, company car, telephone , tools , software and computers etc… Requirements , skills and experience *Degree level or equivalent in an engineering or science based subject. *Experience within the scientific , mechanical or electrical engineering instruments and devices field. *Self-motivated with good communications skills and organisational abilities. *Flexible attitude in a highly mobile position ( 3 weeks travel in the UK and internationally in 4 weeks) A current valid drivers' license is essential *Excellent public relations attitude and commercial awareness.
