Euro London is currently recruiting for a technically savvy remote-based Customer Support Technical Team Leader, who will take responsibility for a team of 10 Technical Support Analysts, based throughout Europe.

You will provide technical on-site applications support to customers using our client's cloud and SaaS based platforms, answering highly complex questions on functionality and usage of these products.

As a primary support liaison between the company and the customer you'll work in close collaboration with the Customer Support Manager and your colleagues , conveying customer feedback to product development staff.
You'll need to develop expert knowledge on our client's products ( after full training with a programme combining remote training and self-learning) to support a variety of diverse sectors from Biopharma to Food and Drink, Biobanks to Cancer research and Medical diagnostics organisations.

These customers use our client's Laboratory Information Management ( LIMS) technologies for vital research into quality and product development.

As a skilled self-starter with at least one experience in team leadership or a strong desire to manage a small EMEA based remote team, you're skilled in the use of Java based technologies, working on Oracle and SQL databases and web application servers ( JBOSS).

*Managing customer support functional activities for all products and contributing to overall service profitability.
*Providing guidance to applications support analysts and developing further knowledge and experience in this area ( the technical skills are the core of the position, leadership skills can be developed further on the job)
*Maintaining support servers and access for the team.
*Promoting and maintaining a high quality , professional , service-oriented company image among users.

The key responsibilities are as follows :

*Efficiently using staff and systems in the customer support area.
*Improving the quality and responsiveness of customer support staff and resources.
*Improving interaction and service between customer support and other functional areas of the company.

Job qualifications necessary

*A bachelor's degree in business or computer science or a related job experience including at least one long-term experience in team leadership with senior applications support responsibilities.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural knowledge for working with colleagues based across 5 countries in an international company working environment and culture.
*Able to quickly develop strong product knowledge on our client's LIMS applications after training and self-learning.
*Excellent time management, communications, decision-making , presentation , human relations and organisational skills.
*A self-reliant personality who can research web, applications and database issues and solve them with a high level of independence.
*Experience leading local and remote based teams across EMEA.
*Advanced knowledge of all customer support areas.
*Excellent Java, SQL or Oracle and web applications server troubleshooting skills and experience for applications support ( not development)
*Strong Windows knowledge and experience.
*Proficient PC skills.
*Fluency in a second European language in additional to fluent English, would be beneficial but not essential. Preferences are for German, French , Spanish or Italian.
*Able to work remotely from the UK, France, Italy or The Netherlands with travel to our client's HQ near London, UK for meetings once every two months.
