Head of Sales - Road Transportation Sector

Our client is a B2B logistics platform, connecting companies looking to move pallets within a network of carriers. They offer shippers a web platform to make the process of finding the right truck quick and simple with built-in track and trace. Carriers are able to accept shipments through a mobile app, letting them grow and manage their business with ease.

The company is backed by the top investors in Europe.

They are now looking for a Head of Sales for France to launch and develop their business on the French market. Candidates must have experience in the ROAD TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Your role is to lead national sales business for France and play a key role in the next phase of the company’s growth.
  • You will have responsibility for delivering top line revenue numbers from both new business and account management functions.

This means:

  • Developing and owning the sales strategy
  • Shaping the go-to-market approach for France
  • Implementing and executing the sales and marketing processes
  • Recruiting, growing and developing a team - including KPI and compensation setting
  • Working with marketing, product and finance to ensure success in top line growth
  • Key outputs will be better conversion in the sales funnel, higher value new business acquisitions with shorter ramp up times and improved retention

 

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • You have extensive experience in sales or business development.
  • You have had direct experience in transportation or logistic companies acquiring and/or retaining medium and large companies (manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors). This means having built/grown new business and account management functions in high growth organisations. We also expect you to bring a fruitful network of potential clients, and ideally, of carriers too.
  • You have experience in successful 'scale-up' environments
  • You are hands-on as well as strategic and able to balance your natural bias for action with analytical ability.
  • You want to work for a fast-paced start-up, with quick iterations, changes of direction, tight budgets
  • You are brave and ambitious enough to be able to crack the French transportation market
  • Native French speaker with fluent English

 

Salary: 70-90K€
