German speaking Credit Researcher

A large international insurance company are looking for a German speaker to join their Global Manager Research team in London.
You will be conducting research across managers investing in credit globally including traditional and alternative credit. In this role you will be interviewing some of the most highly respected credit investment managers in the word enabling the team to form more accurate views on such areas such as investment skill and meet their client's aims. The team is responsible for facilitating better outcomes for their clients as well as continuing to innovate these great ideas in to client's portfolios.
You will also have the opportunity to develop personally through their training curriculum and study programme.
Excellence
*Meet fund managers to evaluate investment teams, their business, culture, investment processes and risk management. Understanding of expected returns and risk drivers.
*Produce detailed due diligence documents and communication of research views for client consumption.

Clients
*Explore, understand and assess the key issues that their clients are facing and structure appropriate recommendations, communicating clearly why your ideas address their unique business needs
*Influence and persuade key client stakeholders (advisory and delegated portfolio managers) around ideas that are beneficial to clients
*Ensure that our ideas can be accessed by clients in as many markets as possible
People
*Building relationships with managers, maintaining the research data portal and acting as a point of contact to provide information about the managers to their Investments colleagues globally.
*Build relationships to develop natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels

Financial

*Support the generation of new business as part of the broader team including new product ideas, or strategy changes.
*Ensure that we have the right balance of great ideas by number and capacity, facilitating negotiation of better terms and economics for our clients

Requirements:
*2-7 years of credit experience (fund of funds, consulting, portfolio managements or credit analysis) or wider experience in investment and an interest in credit investment
*Fluency in investment-technical German to a high standard is essential. Other languages are desirable
*Effective oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
*Well-organised and detail-oriented
*Flexibility and desire to build relationships with colleagues and clients
*Progress in CFA or other professional qualification an advantage, willingness to undertake the CFA essential
