Our client is a fast growing British brand within the FMCG – Food sector.  Due to growth on the German market they are now looking to strengthen their team in Germany and are recruiting a Sales Manager. The position can be based anywhere in Germany and you would be working from a home-office.

Permanent Position/ Germany (Home-office)

The Challenge

Our client is looking for a Sales Manager to be based from a home-office and to help grow the German market. You will work closely together with and report to the Head of Sales for Germany & Austria. As the new Sales Manager you will be responsible for managing the relationships with existing clients and partners within the retail sector as well as acquiring new clients.

Your key-tasks will include:
•    Manage the existing network of partners and clients
•    Acquire new partners and clients
•    Negotiate contracts
•    Increase market share within your region
•    Increase the brand awareness within your region
•    Work closely together with marketing in regards to different promotions and marketing campaigns
•    Develop market and competitor knowledge within your region

The Right Candidate

As the new Sales Manager you should ideally have some experience in a similar sales or account management role working for a FMCG company or for a retail company or having sold to the retail sector. As this is an international company, it is of advantage that you can speak a good level of English next to your fluent German.

The right candidate should also ideally have the following qualifications:
•    Experience in a B2B sales role
•    Retail or FMCG experience
•    Very good relationship management
•    Very good computer skills
•    Ability to travel throughout your region
•    Fluent German and good level of English
